MacKenzie & Marr Guitars is a unique Canadian company designing solid wood acoustic guitars, handcrafted in limited runs. Their mission is simple and bold: to offer the best possible guitars at an honest price, by selling directly and cutting out intermediaries.
8P Design partnered with MacKenzie & Marr for a complete redesign of their e-commerce platform, ensuring the digital presence reflects the authenticity, craftsmanship, and story behind each instrument. The mandate included:
- A UX/UI audit of the previous website and strategic recommendations
- A fresh, custom web design that highlights the beauty and uniqueness of each guitar
- A full rebuild using the Drupal CMS for flexibility and performance
- Implementation of a marketing strategy tailored to their direct-to-consumer model
- Collaboration with Studio Kay to create lifestyle imagery that visually captures the essence of each instrument
The goal: to offer a digital storefront that matches the brand’s artisanal excellence while improving user experience and online conversion.
